Complete and partial dentures

Dentures are a cost-effective option for replacing multiple missing teeth, offering both functional and esthetic benefits.

Partial dentures

Partial dentures are used to replace one or more missing teeth. During the first appointment, small indentations are made in the teeth to support the denture. Next, an impression is taken in order to fabricate the partial framework. The metal framework is then tried in and adjusted at the next appointment to ensure proper fit. The lab then adds teeth to the partial and the patient returns for a try in appointment to ensure proper esthetics and function. At the last appointment the final partial is tried in and adjusted.

Complete dentures

Complete dentures are fabricated when there are no remaining teeth in the upper, lower, or both jaws. The process begins by taking a pre-liminary impression. A custom impression tray is then fabricated which more precisely adapts to the patient’s mouth. A final impression is then taken. The lab then fabricates an acrylic base with wax that mimics the final denture. The wax is adjusted to ensure proper esthetics and function. The lab then sets teeth in the wax and the patient returns for a try in appointment. At the fifth and final appointment, the dentures are tried in and adjusted.
